Position Overview: We are in search of an accomplished and experienced BI Developer to join our team. As a BI Developer, you will be at the forefront of creating and maintaining the technological infrastructure and tools necessary for our business to gather, transform, analyze, and visualize data effectively. Your role will be pivotal in driving data-driven insights and facilitating informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Gathering and Integration:
  • Take charge of collecting data from diverse sources within the organization, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and external data providers.
  • Design and implement data integration processes to ensure seamless and consistent data flow into a centralized repository.
• Data Transformation and ETL:
  • Execute Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to cleanse, reshape, and transform raw data into an analyzable format.
  • Undertake tasks such as data cleansing, aggregation, and the creation of calculated fields to prepare data for analysis.
• Database Design and Optimization:
  • Design and maintain databases optimized for querying and reporting.
  • Develop strategies such as star or snowflake schemas, data indexing, and other techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Dashboard and Report Development:
  • Craft interactive dashboards and reports that present data insights in an accessible and user-friendly manner.
  • Utilize BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or custom solutions to create visualizations that empower stakeholders to explore data and extract insights.
• Query Optimization:
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to efficiently retrieve data from databases.
  • Ensure responsive query performance, even when handling substantial datasets.
• Data Modeling:
  • Create comprehensive data models that define relationships among different data entities.
  • Construct models that facilitate efficient data exploration and analysis, enabling users to understand data structures and relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record with 4 to 5 years of experience as a BI Developer or a similar role.
• Proficiency in data gathering, integration, and ETL processes.
• Expertise in designing and optimizing databases for efficient querying and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing queries.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and practices.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to present complex data insights clearly.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is between 300K to 400K per year, based on experience and qualifications.
